What is this?

This an advanced practical course of Yaser Abouselim under the supervision of Dr. Susanne Krömker. It's about the Discrete Morse Theory which is a combination of ideas from topology and combinatorics. It has a vast applications in many fields like topological data analysis, combinatorics and computer science. In this practical course, I will give a brief introduction of discrete Morse theory, then I will show an algorithm to build a Morse functions on simplicial complexes, at the end I will introduce the implementation details and the results obtained from running the algorithm on simplicail complexes.
